Tamata Reo is a self-motivated design project that explores the intersection of language revitalisation and visual communication. It consists of a custom collection of glyphs, developed as an educational tool to inspire positive engagement with te reo Maori through contemporary art and design.
Rooted in kaupapa Maori, the project aims to normalise and celebrate te reo Maori in everyday contexts — using design as a medium to shift attitudes, spark curiosity, and support language learning in a visually accessible way.
