NGATI POROU/TE AUPOURI/NIUE
Vicktoria is a multidisciplinary designer, cultural practitioner and strategist.
Her practice sits at the intersection of art, design and indigenous knowledge systems, with a strong focus on kaupapa Māori approaches and community-led outcomes. Working across visual communication, digital media and spatial storytelling, Vicktoria uses design as a tool to elevate te reo Māori, challenge inequities and create culturally resonant experiences.
Her methodology is intuitive — grounded in kaupapa Māori and shaped by deep listening, relationships and responsiveness to people and place. This approach allows her work to emerge organically, ensuring outcomes that are culturally anchored, collaborative and meaningful.
With a background in public health campaigns, education and socially driven creative projects, her work often explores the power of visual language to support identity, wellbeing and systemic change. Vicktoria’s projects have been recognised both nationally and internationally — including awards for cultural impact and design for social good.
Whether developing educational tools, leading creative strategy or illustrating narratives that centre Māori and Pacific voices, Vicktoria is committed to design that is thoughtful, intuitive and grounded in place.
